Snowy Scenes

Hi guys,

So I am very sorry that I have been missing from the blogging scene for nearly a week! I have been trying to sort things out in my personal life but I have been planning some posts for you guys.

Today I have a bit of a strange post for you but if you live in the UK or have heard anything about the UK recently you will know that over the last week we have had a lot of snow and I have a bit of a think about snow :) *hehe yes I'm a bit of a child* so last Friday I decided because I had nothing to do I would walk around my pretty little Cheshire town, which looks even prettier covered in a blanket of the white snowy stuff and show you some pictures of it so here we go

My Back Yard

View From My Bedroom Window (And Our Camper Van)

From My Bedroom Window Up To The Road

My Street & My Lovely Orange Car

My BEAUTIFUL House

The Church At The End Of My Street

My Feet In The Snow

View From The Church Down To My Street

From The Top Of The Church

So I hope that you all enjoyed being a little bit nosey around my little Cheshire town where I live,

Battle Of The Caramel Hot Chocolates

Hi guys, so this is pretty much going to be a random post for me! If you know me in person you will know that I absolutely love Caramel Hot Chocolates, especially those from Costa! Anyway I obviously can not afford to go and have one of those every time I want a hot drink, so I have been testing out instant caramel flavoured ones at home.

I tested 3 different ones

Cadbury Highlights Caramel

Options Dreamy Caramel

Weight Watchers Caramel

Nutritional Information: Per Serving: 40 calories, 1.2g protein, 5.5 g Carbohydrates, Sugars 3.7 g, Fat 1.1g, Saturates 0.9g Fibre 1.7g, Salt 0.3g

So I have tried each one and will just say that they are all really nice. I make mine with milk instead of water because I think that they taste nicer and I don’t have that much dairy in my diet so it always helps to get a bit extra in. No they are not as nice as the ones that you buy from say Costa but for an instant hot chocolate they are delicious. I find also that I do not need to add any more sugar to them when they are the caramel flavour ones as opposed to the normal chocolate ones.

Anyway my verdict – my favourite was definitely the Options one. It was lovely and creamy when made with milk and tasted the closest to the ones that you get from Costa. Wasn’t too sweet and mixed well into the milk and didn’t end up tasting powdery (which is my biggest bug bear with instant hot chocolate) the only downside to this one is that as far as I can find you can only buy it in the individual sachets and not in a big tub, which makes it a lot more expensive.

My least favourite was the weight watchers one, I just didn’t think that it really tasted of much and tasted very fake and powdery and out of 3 I tried it just didn’t match up, you can get this one in a big tub as well as sachets but I just don’t think that I could be buying it again.

The Highlights isn’t far off the Options one to be honest it is just a bit too sweet for me. That is really the only big swinging point for me. Depending on how much of a sweet tooth you have you may prefer one to the other. But I would recommend them both :) the Highlights one you can also buy in a big jar as well as the sachets.

Anyway guys I know that this was random but I hope that you liked it.

If you have hot chocolate at home, what is your favourite?

Lots of Love

All Used Up #4

Hi Guys,

So I hope that you are all well, so I know I haven’t done an empties video for a long time so this is going to be a long one, I just completely forgot about it over Christmas and new year. A lot of these products are favourite ones of mine that I have repurchased already.

Sally Hansen Strengthening Nail Polish Remover
This is my go to nail varnish remover and I have used it for such a long time. I have really soft nails and this helps to keep them strong. I have already purchased another one, I go through nail varnish remover so quickly because I love changing my nail colour.

Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Intensive Conditioning Mask
This was the first deep conditioning mask I had ever used and I love it, I already have another tub of it on the go. I only use it once or twice a week and it just helps to keep my hair nice and smooth and soft, it also makes my hair more manageable.

Soap & Glory Flake Away
I have got such a Soap & Glory obsession, like I'm sure that most people have at the moment. Everything of theirs smells amazing and works brilliantly. I absolutely love this scrub; it has an oily residue once you have used it which I love. I am currently using their Sugar Crush scrub and I absolutely love that too, I have got another Flake Away in my stash for when the one I am using at the moment runs out.

Clinique Mild Liquid Face Soap
I used to use this cleanser for such a long time, and I had this bottle for a while and I just went through it to use it up really, because I have found other cleansers that I love more than this one. I mean I have some mini ones of this cleanser that I use when I go away anywhere but it isn’t my favourite and I wont be buying the full size one again I don’t think.

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser
Well, there is so much that I can say about this cleanser, I absolutely love it. It is one of the first cleansers I have been able to use on my eyes that does not sting at all. I really struggle with using cleansers on my eyes normally because they are so sensitive. This is at the moment my favourite cleanser that I have ever used. It smells amazing and just feels amazing on my skin. I am already using another one and have just bought a backup because it is at the moment half price.

Dove Hair Therapy Colour Radiance Conditioner
I randomly bought this because I had run out of conditioner and I found it for £1. I did like it but I wasn’t too keen on the smell at all, I like fruity shampoo and conditioner. I also like changing up my hair care products sometimes so I have not repurchased this and I don’t know if I ever would.

Clinique Moisture Surge
This is my go to night time moisturiser, I have used it for over a year and I absolutely love it, it is a little bit expensive but I think that it is so worth it. You do not need to use much at all and it lasts a long time, I also love the fact that it doesn’t make my skin feel greasy it just makes it feel smooth and soft and hydrated. I am already using another tub of this and I cannot see me buying anything else in the foreseeable future.

Clinique Superdefence
This is my daytime moisturiser that I use alongside my Moisture Surge. I also sometimes use another one which I am going to mention in a moment. I have used this for as long as I have used the Moisture Surge. I have also repurchased this and am using it at the moment and along the same line as the Moisture Surge I cannot see me using anything else.

Superdrug Head In The Clouds Dry Shampoo
I always have some dry shampoo in my beauty cupboard. It is a staple for me, I really liked this one but it was not as good as the Batiste that I was using before, which is what I have repurchased after this one ran out.

Collection 2000 Illuminating Touch Concealer
I think that this was the first illuminating concealer I have ever had, I could be wrong. I really liked this is was the right colour for under my eyes and really brightened up that area. I purchased the Maybelline version to see how it compared once I had finished this one and to be honest I don’t know if they are much different. So I think once my Maybelline one has ran out I will repurchase this one because I think that it is cheaper and pretty much does the same thing

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturiser
This is the other moisturiser that I was on about before, I have used this for as long as I have had a cleansing routine and I think I will always have it in my collection. I love it for when my skin is feeling a bit oily it just seems to combat that and still moisturise my skin well enough throughout the whole day, I also love this one for in the summer. This was just a mini one that I had in my handbag but I have the full size one on my dressing table that I use.

Clinique 7 Day Scrub Cream
I used to use this a lot but I have recently decided it isn’t ‘scrubby’ enough for me now, however this has been over the winter so maybe in the summer I will prefer this again. I think I will try it again in thee warmer months and see how I feel about it.

Dove Go Fresh Pomegranate & Lemon Verbena
The only reason that I bought this was because my normal deodorant (Dove Cucumber & Green Tea) was sold out when I went to get it. I only use Dove deodorants because they are the only ones that I don’t seem to have an allergic reaction to. I did not like this one anywhere near as much as my normal one so I have gone back to my Cucumber & Green Tea one.

Simple Kind To Eyes Makeup Remover Pads
I did really like these, however they were so expensive for what they were because I needed to use atleast 2 of them to get my eye makeup off, which meant that they only lasted about 2 weeks, also that fact that I have now found a cleanser which I can use on my eyes I don’t really need them, however I would get them again if I was going on holiday or something like that, just for ease.

Natural Collection Lash Definition Mascara
For how much this mascara costs I really really like it, I have the clear one for setting my brows. I have also repurchased this, it stays put for most of the day and is not hard to get off at the end of the day. I think that once I have gone through my mascaras that are open I will repurchase this one, although I am still on the hunt for a new mascara that does exactly what I want it to do for me. Any suggestions?

17 Blusher in Damson Wine
This is the 2nd one of these blushes I have had and used up. I love it, it has been an everyday blush of mine for a long time. The colour gives me such a natural look that looks nice and natural, I haven’t repurchased this yet as I have so many more blushes to use up, but I will repurchase it at some point because I really like it.

Clinique High Impact Mascara
This is only one of the miniature mascaras but I have used many of them up and at the moment it is one of my favourite mascaras I have ever used. I have a couple more of the small ones to use up which I am happy about but as I said before I am still on the lookout for one that does everything I want. For me this one doesn’t quite lengthen enough.

No7 Beautiful Skin Hot Cloth Cleanser
This was the first hot cloth cleanser I used and I did really like it, I couldn’t use this one on my eyes which was disappointing but it lasted for quite a long time and I liked the fact that it was in a pump bottle. However after finding my superdrug one that I can use on my eyes I do not think that there would be any point in me repurchasing this one again.

So this was everything that I have used up since my last post. I think I may need to start doing these more often because this has taken me a long time to write.

Have any of you used up any products recently?

Lots Of Love
