Healthy Eating & My Lunch

Hey guys, I know that I am doing a lot of random rambly posts at the moment, I just get the urge to sit here and chat to you all, I just wish that I had the confidence to make some youtube videos so then I could actually verbally randomly ramble at you all. Oh well maybe that will come with some time.

So if you have seen my New Year’s Resolutions post that I put on at the start on January then you will know that I am trying to loose weight and I think that this post may well be the start of my plan, if you get what I mean. (god I don’t half ramble so much) anyway, if you watch MissBudgetBeauty’s youtube channel or read her blog you may have seen that she bought some of the Warburtons Square Wraps. Well I went out food shopping today and bought myself some to make healthier lunches for myself.

I got the brown ones because white bread isn’t really my kind of thing. I much prefer brown bread. So when I got back from shopping I made myself some a ‘pizza’ with one of them and it was soo tasty!

I used one of the wraps, topped it with tomato puree, red onion, courgettes, chorizo and a little bit of grated cheese. (if you know me, you will know that cheese is not one of my favourite things) I thought that it was one of the nicest things I have made myself in a long time. I usually stick to the same sort of things like pasta salad and stir fry’s. But I think I have now found myself a new meal that I can make myself that isn’t too bad for me.

The wraps have 187 Kcal each which I don’t think is too bad, I know that I had cheese and chorizo on it which both have fat in them but in my opinion It is so much better for me than a normal frozen pizza that you would buy from the supermarket, also the fact that you can have whatever you want on it, which is what I did.

So this is one of my first steps to me loosing some weight. Trying to find some healthier options to the things that I normally like to eat. I do have some other steps that I have made/thought of over the last few weeks.

1  1-  Cut down/change what I am drinking– I love going to the pub with my boyfriend and our friends and watching the football or playing darts and having a laugh, but I know the my favourite tipple (cider & blackcurrant) is not the best thing for me when I am trying to loose weight. So I have decided that when I go out I am going to start having one drink then either some water or soda and cordial that wont be as bad for me or have as many calories in. also I am going to try and stop drinking cider *sobs* and have something like vodka, pineapple juice and soda (which is amazing if you have never tried it) because this has a lot less calories in than cider.

2 - Try and calm down my sweet tooth – I probably have the worlds worst sweet tooth ever, I get such a craving for chocolate, sweets, ice-cream and everything similar to that. I have always loved everything in that sort of food group shall we say. So I just need to make sure that I don’t just give in to my cravings and try and have something else that is better for me to try and get rid of that. At the moment I am not too cure what that is yet thought.

3 - Stop snacking – I snack quite often between meals, especially when I am dieting. Because I cut my portion sizes down, but I think that I may be cutting them down a little bit too much, so I think I may need to give myself realistic portions (of food that is good for me, i.e more vegetables and that sort of thing) and then I hopefully will be able to not snack in between meals.

So this is where I'm going to stop my ramblings for this post. There may be another post this evening seen as I am having a quite nice time just chatting randomly.

Have any of you got any recipes or ideas for some healthy eating that you could share with me?

Lots of love

Random Ramble

Hello everyone, once again I am sat in front of my laptop wanting to blog and not knowing what the hell I am going to write about at all! I am not going to lie to you all, I am having a bit of a tough time with things at the moment, I have basically lost my job and am trying my best to get a new one, hopefully full time, but as many of you will know, finding a job at the moment is not easy in the slightest! Today I have spent the whole day, printing off and sending out CV’s. I get annoyed sometimes when I see people who I remember from school who never tried and were always in trouble who have managed to find full time jobs and I worked my bum off at school and have many qualifications and I can’t find one! I am just one of those people who get bored in their own company and actually like working! Yes I know it’s strange.  Anyway I don’t want this to be a down post at all!

Since I have a lot of time on my hands at the minute I want to try blogging as much as possible! And I am going to keep you up at date with my job hunt, when I hopefully get interviews and that kind of thing. I update a hell of a lot on twitter too so if you want to go over there and follow me! :) so since I have been struggling a bit at the moment I have been very much looking at quotes and that sort of thing to just keep my morale up and that sort of thing! So I thought that I would show you a few examples!

Yea I know some of them may be a little cheesy and that sort of thing but they do actually strangely make me feel better and put a little smile on my face! There is always something small that can put a smile on my face.

Anyway guys I know that this was an extremely random post and I am going to sit tonight and plan what I am going to be posting on here over the next few weeks!

Lots of Love

New Years Resolutions

Hey Guys,
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

So I did the same post as this last year, letting you know what my New Year’s resolutions are. I have seen a lot of people making videos or blogging about theirs and I really enjoy reading them. So I thought I would add mine.

1 – Pass My Driving Test – this is one that is the same as last year unfortunately. It was very nearly completed as I have taken my test twice in October and November last year and I unfortunately failed both of them. However I have it again very soon so hopefully this will be quickly done and dusted.

2 – Start Playing Golf Again – I used to play golf a lot when I was younger, I played from when I was 9 years old until I was 18. So I haven’t played for 2 years, I used to absolutely love it. In April of last year I started working at a golf club and it just made me want to play again so much! So I have now decided that this is the year! I want to start playing properly and get better, I have wanted to get a hobby again after I stopped dancing so this is going to be it!

3 – Look After Myself – this is kind of broad and it covers a lot of things. From eating better, cooking my own meals instead of having takeaways, making sure I take my makeup off at night, to exercising more & losing some weight. I have put this all under one because I think that most of them tie into each other and will all together make me feel better about myself.

4 – Believe In Myself – yes this may sound stupid but it is something that I really need to do! I have very little self-belief at all, and my boyfriend is always telling me that I need to, so I am trying to make myself think positively about things around me, and myself. I am a very pessimistic person, and I just need to try and see the good in things & myself. If you have read my Body Confidence post then you will understand this one.

5 – Plan – lastly this one again covers a few things, I am a list maker, and I love writing things down, they help me to remember things. Maybe that is why I like blogging. So I think that I need to plan what I am doing with my time and myself, Chris bought me a beautiful not book for Christmas so I am going to carry this around with me so that I can write myself notes and lists. Secondly which may sound strange is for the future. I want to start saving money up for the future and try and make sure that I keep myself in good stead for if there is anything I need to do in the future.

So that is all of my resolutions. Have you wrote any New Year’s Resolutions?
Lots of Love

Happy 2013!

Well helloo there! Long-time no see! I do apologise for being away for like 2 weeks, but Christmas and New Year just got in the way. I had far too much to do and sort out along with going to see family and that kind of thing you do at Christmas time. I am at the minute just sat on my bed in my newly moved around bedroom, I spent the whole day yesterday sorting, cleaning and moving my whole bedroom around and today my arms are killing me! I decided I wanted to sit down and blog, but I don’t really know what about to be honest with you all so this may get a bit rambly. I Apologise.

So I hope that you all had a great Christmas and New Year and spent it with people that really matter. (As well as Santa bringing you what you want) I had a great Christmas, Christmas Eve I spent the day helping my Mum & Auntie prepare everything for the party that we have at our house that night with all my Step-Dad’s side of the family, which I really enjoyed. Then I went and got my Christmas Jumper & Santa Hat on and enjoyed the party with my little cousins and aunties and uncles for a few hours. At about 9:30 me and my boyfriend Chris went out into our town for a drink and to see some of our friends (which didn’t last very long because Chris was a little merry *SHHHHH*) so we came home and had some food and then went to bed. Christmas morning, Chris had to go home to see his family so we got up and had some breakfast and then he went home. My brother and his girlfriend came home at about 11, so then we opened some presents and got ready. Me and my mum then walked around to my Nan’s house to help get the dinner ready which we normally eat about 2:30pm. After lunch we had some presents at my nans and then came back to my house where Chris came back to so we could see each other and give each other our presents. I may be strange but I love Boxing Day, me & Chris went up to our town to meet some of our friends and have some lunch. It was a lovely day.

New Year was pretty standard TBH! Go out, get drunk, watch the count down, and go home. It was a good night, there only ended up being me, Chris and one of our friends originally but then we met up with some of our other friends later on. It was a nice night and nice to spend it with people that mattered and in our local pub.

So this post has ended up being what I did over Christmas and New Year, I hope that I didn’t bore you too much!

What did you all get up to over Christmas & New Year?

Lots of Love
