31 Day Photo Challenge - Day 1

Hi Guys,
So after being inspired by Louise from Sprinkle of Glitter's posts last month, I have decided to try and do my own 'my month in photos' series.

Basically I am going to try my bestest, to post a photo every single day this month, (yes I know this is going up on the 2nd but just roll with me here) hehe!

So without further ado, here is day 1!

These are my presents from my brother, he has been away for 2 weeks to San Fran & LA with 2 of his friends and these are what he brought back for me, he can by thoughtful sometimes!

SO I hope that you guys are excited about this, and if any of you decide to do something similar let me know!

Lots of Love

Lets Call A Spade A Spade!

Yes I know I have been a terrible blogger! :( *slaps own wrist* I am not going to sit here and make excuses because it’s not really what I want to write about to be honest. However I will say that I have had a few issues going on recently with some of my family so I have been putting that and work as a high priority in my life at the moment.

Anyway now that is out of the way I just feel like sitting here and talking to you all, seen as life has been a bit, shall I say poo recently, I have decided that I need to sort myself out and make the most of myself as much as I can. So I have been thinking about some things that I want to do so that I can work towards slapping myself round the face and telling myself to get a grip.

1-      Absolutely gut my wardrobe – I have spent so long buying clothes because they look good on my friends or because I want to wear that style, even if it doesn’t suit me. I am also very bad at throwing things out, I’m a little bit of a hoarder (my mother would disagree, she thinks I am the world’s worst hoarder) however I am not getting to the point where I have lots of clothes that I don’t wear and that I don’t like, so instead of just throwing them away, I am going to give them to a local charity shop, this also links in with another thing that I want to do which is ‘do something good for somebody else’

2-      Go to the gym at least twice a week – I have gone and got myself a gym membership because I am fed up of feeling lazy and groggy, I do actually really enjoy going to the gym and going swimming, and this is the package I have got at my local gym. So whether it’s the gym twice or 1 gym session and 1 swimming session, I am going to try my best to make myself stick to it!

3-      Lose some weight – I have said this to my mum and I got a grilling from her, telling me that I am fine the way I am and all that malarkey (that stuff mums say because they have to) but I want to do it for me, nobody else, I am a size 12/14 at the moment and id be happy being a 10/12, I know I am never going to be a tiny skinny mini, I am not built that way and neither is anyone from my family (minus my twin brother but he is like a stick insect, all arms and legs so we don’t count that)

4-      Start saving – money I mean, I am terrible at saving money! Like really terrible, money burns a hole in my pocket; however I need to start getting myself some savings together so that I can eventually hopefully move out of home into my own place. (or hopefully our own place)

5-      Be more positive – I am a bit of a negative person, I think that everything is going to go wrong, that everybody is saying something about me or that im going to get bad news. I am a bit of a paranoid weirdo really, however I want to be a lot more positive about things, so I am going to get some motivational quotes in my bedroom so that I can look at them and try and make myself more positive.

There are a few more things but I think that 5 is enough for a blog post, I will keep you guys updated as to how I get on.

Have any of you set yourselves any targets recently?

Lots of Love

What I Have Been Loving This Week

Hi Guys,

So I have decided to go more lifestyle on here and I hope that you are all going to like this change. I have decided to do each week a ‘what I have been loving this week’ post. Which can be anything that is as random as I like, which is the way that my personality is. So without further a do,

Me & Chris, Yes I know its a little cringe worthy but I do love this boy

1-      Tea, I have been loving Earl Grey tea, it is my favourite kind of tea anyway but I have got back into having ‘a brew’ again and I have been loving it.
2-      My Cat, I have had my cat since I was 4 and she is the little love of my life, she is called Missy and she is a Tabby cat, she has taken to sleeping in my bedroom and on the end of my bed which is lovely when you are snuggling up to go to sleep.
3-      Lunch with the Boyfriend, We normally do this every Sunday afternoon at our golf club after he has finished playing. I do not play on a Sunday but Chris plays most Sundays at silly o clock in the morning (Yes that’s an actual time, normally around 7:30) and we sit and have lunch together and chat with our friends and it is lovely.
4-      Friends, This is more towards the fact that my friends are all coming back from Uni at the moment and this makes me very happy.
5-      Darts, yes this is very very weird, but I play in a ladies darts team for my local pub and have played since I was 14 when I used to live in a pub, and we have a game every Tuesday night, I have started playing for a new team and I am enjoying it so much, anyways, I played in a fun knockout with my boyfriend’s friends on Wednesday and I got to the final out of 8, which I was very happy about.
6-      Music, I have really got back into having my ipod with me and listening to music a lot again, I have been getting some new music together for on my ipod and in my car which I love.
7-      Driving in the sun, kind of self-explanatory, but the last 2 weekends where I live have been nice and sunny and I love driving with my windows down singing to cheesy music :)  yes I know I'm sad!

So anyway guys this is what I have been loving this week, I hope you have enjoyed this post and I will speak to you again in a few days :)

What have you been loving recently?
Lots of Love

Friends, Blogging & Ramble

Helloo Guys,

So I know I have been away for 6 days and as I said in my last post I have been very busy trying to sort out a lot of things. So I thought that I would just do a bit of a rambly life kind of post for you today. Sorry if these bore you but I like to have a bit of a ramble sometimes and seen as a lot of my best friends are away at university *sobsob* I enjoy having a bit of a ramble to you. So I guess I will start with me just mentioning that, My friends. I rarely see any of my best friend’s from school because most of them are away at university. My 2 best friend’s Betony & Hannah both live in Leeds which is a 2 hour train journey away from where I live and it costs about £30, so seen as I am not working at the moment this is quite hard. One of my other friend’s Laura is going traveling on Wednesday for a year so I am not going to be able to see her for a long time either. Anyway, I still live in the town that I went to school in, I spend most of my time when I am out with either my boyfriend Chris and our friends or with my friends that I had before I was with him.

Hannah, Betony & Me

Have you ever found that you randomly get thrown together and become really good friends with someone, sometimes out of a bit of a dodgy situation? Well me and my really good friend Laura (a different one from the one who is going travelling) have had this same experience. We used to be mates who were in the same friendship group when I was with my Ex-boyfriend and used to just chat randomly. I'm not going to get into the details of it but during the breakup of my old relationship with my ex some things were said and I was very glad that Laura considered me as a good enough friend to tell me everything and explain things to me. Ever since then we have been getting closer and we now go on girly nights out just the 2 of us and will just go and get a coffee and have a chat, she is there for me when I need her and I am there for her when she needs me.

Anyway, none of these friends of mine know about my blog at all but I am going to start to tell people at some stage soon, probably starting with my boyfriend to be honest. There are a lot of reasons that I haven’t told people to be honest but talking to other bloggers on twitter, and through the #bbloggers chat on a Sunday night, they have been so supportive and have gotten me thinking about talking to my family and friends about it. I tweeted earlier that I am trying to get my friend to start blogging, she reads lots of blogs like I do and watches youtube videos, she has also said to me before that she would love to be a youtuber so I thought that getting a friend involved in what I am doing will help me come forward to people. So hopefully I will have her blog to show you guys some time soon.

So I know that this was one of the most random posts that I have ever done. I am going to get some more up this week and at the weekend so keep your eyes out for that.

Have you told people about your blogging? What was their reaction?

What Is Currently In My Shower

Hi guys,
I hope that you are all okay! So I thought that I would show you all my favourite shower products at the moment!

Firstly I have Soap & Glory’s Flake Away body scrub, This big pot is almost all gone and I have used 2 small ones before as well, I just absolutely love it for my legs and rest of my body, especially because in the UK at the moment it is soooo colddd!!! I just love using this and I love the smell as well!

Secondly I have St Ives Fresh Skin Invigorating Apricot Scrub, this is my go to face scrub! I absolutely love it, I have no idea how long I have used this for on and off! I don’t just use this in the shower, I use it over the sink as well, probably every 2 days. I love the smell and how well it exfoliates my skin! Especially, as I have just said because it is so cold in the UK at the moment!

Next I have Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser, this smells so amazing! It has Kiwi and Mulberry extracts in it and it just smells so fresh, I love it! I use this morning and night, in the morning I just use it once to clean and awaken my skin, in the evening I use it once to take off my makeup and once to clean my face. Again I don’t just use this in the shower, but I do love washing my face in the shower with this, because it’s so thick and creamy I feel like if I leave it on for a bit and then wash it off (like I do with conditioner in my hair) my skin loves me for it.

Next I have my all-time favourite shampoo, which is Herbal Essences Smooth & Soft, this is hands down my favourite shampoo I have ever used! I love it because it isn’t a gel formula like most other shampoos, it is more of a cream formula, and to me it just seems to foam up so much better than any others, which I love from shampoo, and also it just seems to leave my hair so clean that I am not having to wash it as often as I was before. This also smells amazing! ( I'm going a little smell crazy today I think) My boyfriend even uses this when he is at my house and he likes it too.

Next is my Current Conditioner, Vo5 Give Me Moisture, unlike shampoo I have not yet found my go to conditioner, I always try something different, I do love this one though! But I do think I will continue to try others once this is finished! It smells good and I really do think it is a good moisturising conditioner, I really like using moisturising conditioners because my hair can get very dry.

And lastly is my favourite of all these favourites. Lush Snow Fairy shower gel! OMG it is now December so I am allowed to get excited for Christmas, and this is one thing that always gets me in the mood, I went and bought a massive bottle and just cannot get enough!  It smells incredible, like sweets and candy floss! I love the fact that it has glitter in it too, just gives it that little bit extra to me, but then again I am a sucker for anything pink and sparkly! I know that I am going to have to make sure that I get another bottle before the Christmas season is over! Because I will use this all year round!

Anyway guys, these are what are currently living in my shower, if you have any recommendations for me let me know.
What is living in your shower at the moment?
Lots of Love
